Now that Clinton finally has his dander up, he needs to keep up with it. As is properly documented, the Bush administration did little or nothing about Bin Laden, and in fact, according to Dick Clarke, Rice and the bunch seemed to be clueless about Al Qaeda in the months leading up to 9/11. Now they claim they were all over it. As Bush would attempt to call it, revisionist history.

Clinton has been too, too nice to these people, hanging out with Bush Sr., playing nice, not roasting them. NOW he needs, for the good of his country and his party, to stay on the message, and not melt politely into the background again.

The big news, in the USA and elsewhere (according to my pen pals in London and Frankfort) is the latest NIE, buried since April, which indicates that the war in Iraq is actually greatly exacerbating the terror situation, by helping recruit new suicide bombers and other murderers.

Just like when Bush buried his own administration's global warming study on the EPA website years ago when it contradicted him, he's spinning this one into invisibility. And the good folks at Fox News are utterly ignoring it. It doesn't appear ANYWHERE on their website, and on TV, they're giving it virtually no attention.

This one needs to be pummeled, over and over. It's bad enough that the war has killed so many of our young folks as well as Iraqi civilians, it's also added to the deficit, further divided the country, and put us on the wrong side of enemy and friend alike.
